Invisalign ® also aims to improve one’s dental health and can be used for both medical and cosmetic reasons. It may be used in conjunction with other orthodontic appliances and can assist in shaping a patient’s teeth and jaw. At Signature Smiles by Dr. Mike Schweizer, Invisalign is generally geared towards adults and can be used to fix a variety of issues such as crowded teeth, underbites, malocclusions, gap teeth, overbites, crossbites, open bites, and various other flaws related to the teeth and jaw.

Invisalign ® – What is it?

Invisalign ® is a clear, plastic aligner made from SmartTrack material that is more comfortable and easier to put on and take off than similar products. These invisible braces have become very popular over the past few years and have a variety of benefits over traditional braces. Clear-aligner treatment can involve an orthodontist, a dentist, or a home-based system. A mold is taken of the patient’s teeth which is then used to make a digital tooth scan. The model created by the digital tooth scan will then suggest stages between the current and desired position of the teeth. Aligners are created to match where your teeth are at each stage.

Invisalign is more discreet than braces and helps you hide that you’re wearing an aligner.
This long-lasting, plastic aligner is twice as durable as a retainer and 30% stronger.
It’s custom-made to fit the needs of each patient.
Invisalign is easier to clean than traditional braces and can be gently brushed with warm water and toothpaste.
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign does not require dental office visits for tightening allowing for more freedom.
You receive aligner trays in advance which lets you move on to the new phase without another office visit.
Since the aligners are removable, you don’t have to cut any foods out of your diet.
Invisalign is more comfortable than traditional braces since they don’t require tightening of the brackets leading to soreness.
Wearing Invisalign lets the wearer remove them to eat, brush their teeth, and floss.
Invisalign is of higher quality than similar products.
